Happy to be a part of this place now. Really cool idea to have a "Federation" of sites where you can do this kind of stuff. Anyway, I look forward to seeing everyone around. I'm pretty new but excited to learn Smile

Welcome to wechall!

I hope you have fun exploring the challenge world of IT!

Myself just started playing "OverTheWire" - its great for linux shell challenges.

UPDATE:

I solved bandit now (with some help for some weird and "unrealistic?" `more` exploits from some spoilers).

Also, ChatGPT, i call it "chappy", is a big help.

However i tackle leviathan now, and leviathan1 is down without big help (some gdb, which is new to me, so i just had to google stuff like "print a string from a register or the stack)
IMO: gdb is unusable. there should be a shortcut for print string... like `ps $eax` or `ps $esp+4`
Correct me, but Leviathan states they made challenges for non-programmers and i have to say that you need to be a solid programmer to solve leviathan...

Anyways - leviathan2 looks more challenging!
