Yesterday i received kinda join request by email.

seems to be a rather new challenge site. At least it was totally unknown to me.

It currently offers 83 challenges, mostly focused webhacking, but you will also find crypto, stegeno, programming and some javascript challs.

You do not register to see the challenges, which i like for myself.

The wechall scripts for the site are ready, and i think it will get added any soon.

If you like, share your opinion here Smile

Unknown to me too. Its hard to say without really digging into it but the challenges seem decent.

The actual challenge site seems to be here-- http://www.tools-and-design.com/hack/Challenges/ --, and a direct link to that section isn't easy to find, although the challenges are also woven into the forums in a somewhat unintuitive way. Maybe they are in the middle of a remodel? If so, I hope they keep the more traditional challenge site interface as an option. I like it better.

Also, registration does require more information than I'm happy to give but other than that...

I have an account on it since 2008, so it isn't that new ; there are few users, but challenges are hard enough. It's a nice new shot for wechall.

Yes, it seems like these are linear challenges. You need to solve each category in order.
(So you have like 9 challs available in the beginning)
If you try to access a challenge that is not unlocked yet, you should get an error message.

Also, note that you might need to logout/login once after registration.
At least i got that problem when trying to solve my first chall Smile

Edit: Actually you can access every challenge via the css/hover menu at the start page, but Garfield reported that you have to solve them in order.

Hello shadum, lol yes that was actually the previous site that I build from scratch, I was going to
put an end to it, because choose for an integration with the smf forum as it has much more functionality that I can directly use, instead of coding everything myself.
Apart from that to me it's better to have everything under one roof, even the projects are now available in this site and more features will soon.

The actual site is here.

Thanks Hertz, yep the site has been there for a while, and I think I've seen you online several times as well.

I only kept it open for the Googlebot for now as there are still some stuff that I have to import, if you want to I can leave it open for you, but be aware that
in the old challenges there are still some bugs, which have been squashed on the new site.
After changing the core, I only updated the challenges on the new site.

Yes true, it's only possible to solve the challenges from easy to hard.
It's possible and allowed to access the challenges that you haven't finished yet(did that for seo reasons), though you won't be able to complete them.

The thing you mention about the login thingie seems to have something todo with being inactive for a while, still have to look into that.. but sadly not much time on my hand atm.

Anyway, hope you will enjoy the challenges and don't forget to check out the tournaments as well. Smile

Hi. Thanks for the offer but if the challenges are buggy and not being updated then leaving the old site open isn't a good option.

By the way, I haven't spent a lot of time on the site yet, but I've solved a few and it looks like a fine site. Happy to see it.
